At Creative Tauranga we focus ourselves on fostering, empowering and encouraging participation, growth and development of arts and culture in Tauranga Moana and the Western Bay of Plenty. To achieve this goal, we provide all of the services below.
- Coordinate exhibitions and events that support and encourage the growth of arts and culture in Tauranga Moana
- Advocate and participate with Tauranga City Council and Western Bay of Plenty District Council in strategic, policy and project issues impacting on the arts and culture sector
- Establish and maintain national arts agency relationships
- Collaborate with educational facilities
- Coordinate workshops to assist artists from entry level through to fully established
- One on one career development support
- Promotion of arts events through CreativeBeat magazine and radio shows with NewsTalk ZB and Moana AM
- Assist with funding applications to the Creative Communities Scheme and other funding outlets
- Discounted advertising opportunities with local newspapers
- Produce an Annual Arts Guide promoting Tourism BOP, Artists, Galleries, Tect Arena, The Cargo Shed, Orgainisations, Art Services
