Mural Concept Wanted

Rotorua District Council is upgrading its in-town Recycling Centre. As part of the upgrade RDC is seeking to commission an experienced NZ muralist to create a masterpiece on a 10 metre long x 4 metre tall wall.
We are looking for a theme related to the environment or more broadly environmental management, care or recycling, and a work that will greet and delight staff and users of the site every day they arrive.
The timeframe for getting started (and completed) is very tight. We are looking for proposals to be delivered or emailed to RDC by close of business Monday September 12. The successful applicant will be notified by September 16. We are looking for someone to work up the mural shortly thereafter.
In addition to your full contact details, we need the following information:
• A brief Mural / Art curriculum vitae • Contacts for two referees able to talk to your mural / art work practice • Images of completed works (state year of completion and location) • Indication of costs to complete the work. Please include all costs including wall preparation, paints, time, travel, accommodation (as relevant) • Time you could complete the work by (remembering our tight deadline)
