Frances Woltman and Liz Roelofsen fell into the world of mosaics 8 years ago and have discovered something far beyond what they could have ever imagined. They have known each other for 47 years and for them both, what began as a hobby has led to a respect for the skill involved in creating such distinctive pieces.

Both artists wanted to put this exhibition together to bring more awareness to the medium of mosaics – especially well crafted mosaics. It takes a lot of skill to be able to visualise the possibilities of the outcome before you begin.

This exhibition will be full of vibrant colour in both sculptural and wall hung works. ‘The Magic of Mosaics’ will run from January 20th till February 4th in the Creative Tauranga Gallery on Wharf Street.
