BIOGRAPHY
John Roy BFA
I use the human figure in my work, as it is readily identifiable and easy to relate too and interpret.
I also like the notion of creating reference points in the work. This allows the viewer to draw upon their own personal experiences to tell their own story.
I have won numerous National Awards.
I have exhibited in many group shows and I have had several Solo Exhibitions of my work.
Examples of my work are held in many public and private collections including the James Wallace Arts Trust, Tauranga Art Gallery and the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
